On 29 and 30 June 2023, the Committee of European Auditing Oversight Bodies (CEAOB) held its 22 nd plenary meeting that took place in Brussels.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/div>\r\n
Main outcomes<\/strong>
The members adopted the 2023 CEAOB enforcement report and the set-up of a task force mandated
to assess observer applications to the CEAOB.
Other topics discussed by the members covered an update on developments around sustainability
reporting and meetings held at European level between practitioners and regulators.<\/div>\r\n

Activities of the sub-groups<\/strong>
The chair of the International equivalence and adequacy sub-group updated members on the ongoing
activities to support the cooperation between European and third country audit regulators.
The Enforcement sub-group chair presented members the 2023 enforcement report and reported on
the meeting of the sub-group held on 22 and 23 May in Vienna.
The International auditing standards sub-group chair updated members on the ongoing work streams
as regards the activities of the international standards setters.
The Inspections sub-group chair reported on the meeting of the sub-group held on 21 and 22 June
2023 in Ljubljana.
The Market monitoring sub-group chair updated members on the state of play of the 3rd market
monitoring report.<\/div>\r\n

Stakeholder outreach<\/strong>
As part of its stakeholder outreach activity the CEAOB invited representatives of EBA and EFAMA to
liaise on topics of common interest.<\/div>\r\n
